DAY 2
Life Skills program Day 2 with keynote speaker Professor Jeanne Grace (UKZN Sports Science Dept). The topic of sports Injuries in soccer and netball players was discussed. The topic of sports injuries in soccer and netball players is important for young players because it can help them understand the potential risks associated with playing these sports and how to prevent and manage injuries. By being aware of the common injuries that occur in soccer and netball, young players can take steps to protect themselves and reduce their risk of getting hurt. Additionally, understanding how to properly manage injuries can help young players recover more quickly and get back to playing the sports they love. Overall, being informed about sports injuries can help young players stay safe and healthy while participating in soccer and netball.
DAY 3
Fun and games filled Life Skills program Day 3, along with the return of founding player Abbas Moosa. Abbas became a member of the club when it was founded in 2007, at the age of 9 years old. He has grown into a well-respected member of society, starting his own clothing brand and is a role-model to the younger learners who attended the life skills program. He is a shining example of how sports can uplift the community and youth. Hayley Velayudam (Bio-kineticist) also joined to speak on the importance of first aid.
